Anders was born in a town north of Stockholm, Sweden. He graduated at the Culinary Academy of Sandviken, Sweden and started his career at Nobel Prize Restaurant Stadshuskällaren, Stockholm and at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. A career as an officer in the Royal Swedish Navy was the project for the next 10 years to come, where he traveled around the globe many times and cooked Scandinavian delicacies to dignitaries. Anders left the navy for a chef position in the yachting industry and has worked on private and charter yachts the past 6 years.

He has developed a real talent in Mediterranean, Asian, Italian and Fusion cooking. Anders has a diverse variety of specialties, but fresh seafood, pastries and baking are his favorites. Using the very highest quality of produce, meat, poultry and seafood take a big part of his preparations for a charter, where he prefers to use organic products. Food and good wines take a great part of his life, but music, art, literature and travel are also a passion.

A proud Australian, Dan’s boating career began on the Great Barrier Reef. As a dive master he was responsible for taking local and international guests diving and snorkeling to would share with them the wonders of his marine world. After four years of boating experience and a love for traveling he decided to broaden his horizons and began his career on private yachts.

Dan has been in the industry for a little over two years and has his sights set on a long term profession in the industry. In this time he has obtained several qualifications as Captain and Engineer and his career has advanced accordingly. His fun and outgoing personality combined with his passion for the ocean and contagious enthusiasm make Dan a true asset to the Janie crew.

Dan takes great pride in his position as First Officer and is convinced that your vacation aboard the Motor Yacht Janie will be exciting, safe and memorable.

Linsay is from the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland, USA. After gaining a degree in business & marketing, she headed to Annapolis and was introduced to yachting. She has five years experience in the industry, primarily as a stewardess but she also spent a year with a leading brokerage firm in Fort Lauderdale.

In addition to her outstanding service skills, warm personality, and uncanny affinity with children. Having worked on a large variety and size of yachts on both sides of the Atlantic, she has wealth of knowledge and insight into what it takes to provide an impeccable level of service. You can be sure that Linsay will do whatever it takes to ensure your stay on Janie is an exceptional one.

Ben is from London, UK, and has been involved with boats since the age of eight. He spent much of his teenage years sailing the south coast of England both recreationally and as an instructor with the Royal Yachting Association.
Following his engineering degree he decided to buy a sail yacht with 3 friends, which Ben captained on a passage from England to the Mediterranean.

He then spent the next four seasons cruising between the Balearic Islands and Spain, during which time his Spanish improved only marginally. Ben then made the transition to larger yachts and traveled further afield to the popular cruising areas of the Caribbean, Bahamas & Western Mediterranean, as well as some lesser known but burgeoning regions such as Croatia & Montenegro. He has experience of both motor and sail yachts up to 170 feet, gaining the 200 ton Masters license and 500 ton Chief Engineer’s license in the process.

When not afloat, Ben is also interested in music production, skiing and has promised to complete his pilot’s license one day…

Born on Singapore and raised on the South Coast of England, Mel grew up living with a view of the sea and messing around on boats. She was first bitten by the travel bug during University and she spent her summers working for a sailing company in Turkey. It was here that she also got her first taste of the hospitality industry.

After graduating, the bright lights of London beckoned and Mel launched into a successful Marketing and event organizing career. But, recently her passion for travel, the lure of the sea and her flair for hospitality lead her to the sunny Caribbean and an exciting new yachting career aboard M/Y Janie. 

Rob is our newest addition too our wonderful Janie crew.  He is a proud Canadian that has a huge interest in learning about other parts of the world and other cultures. Robert has spent his early adulthood enjoying and exploring the outdoors with activities including camping, hiking and long distance running.

He had also clocked up extensive land miles and diverse valuable experiences through backing around the world.  Robert is a PADI Diving Instructor and his passion for nature and the ocean expands everytime he goes diving!

Through diving Robert was exposed to the yacht industry in which he fell in love. We are glad to have his irreplaceable focus on customer needs and expectations as part of our team.
